OTT-o-matic Slides Randomizer is a simple add-on designed for students that allows you to re-order your Google Slides™ into a random order.  This is a my digital take on traditional flash cards. There are three modes of use:

  1. Simply randomize every slide the slide deck on demand

  2. Randomize in pairs (allows for Question followed by Answer slide)

No personal information is collected when using Slides Randomizer!

Slide Randomizer is a Student Benefit for district subscriptions using the no PII domain level authorization!

INSTRUCTIONS

Once you install “Slides Randomizer” add-on you will complete step 1 and 2:

1) Select Randomize Presentation from the add-ons menu

2) Choose to keep the title slide (select “Yes”) or to randomize all slides (select “No”)

Option 1 – Choose to keep your title slide and randomize the rest of the slide deck.

Domain level licensing does not require PII and is whitelisted at the domain level for all user. Licenses which are assigned individually (including those purchased in bulk) will require collection of PII (email address only) in order to authenticate the user. Domain level licensing is the most private way to authorize OTT-o-matic products!

  • Below explains why the Google Drive scopes are required for the add-on to function. 

    1) To my knowledge, the scopes cannot be modified to remove a certain component such as deleting.  The add-on does go thru a review process by Google to ensure there is no malicious intent, and I have no intent other than to help teachers teach and engage their students in rigorous content.   This product (and all of my others) come out of coaching teachers and finding areas in which they face challenges, and I then code solutions to help meet those challenges.  I do want to ensure you that the program only does what is described which is to randomize your slide deck either on demand or as requested by one of the trigger options..  This script simply enables the user to do something that is not possible without an add-on like Slide Randomizer.
